Christmas invitation 2...
from our Islington Branch
MIKULÁS (our very own Hungarian Santa) sent us a message… he wants to meet the GOOD CHILDREN in this country! If you are one of them, then you are kindly requested to come to our Christmas party on
3 December 2011 (Saturday) 3.00 to 5.00 pm
at Sotheby Mews Centre, Sotheby Road, Islington, London N5 2UT
The Program:
- You and, of course, good old Mikulás will be entertained by the new and spectacular Christmas story written and performed by our one and only Islington Drama class
- You can ask for a festive face painting, and try your hands in Christmas decorations
- You may enter our Beigli-, Poetry- and Drawing competition - all masterpieces will be exhibited and the best ones will be awarded (only one piece per category, please)*
- At our Christmas Market you may buy festive treats and presents, including “kürtös kalács”prepared in front of your eyes.
(This is the address of our Islington school. Instructions and map on our website www.magyariskola.org.uk)
Fees:
- £5 per child (including Goodie Bag), £2.50 per adult, if bought in advance,
- £3 (no Goodie Bag) on the door
- Free for our teachers
All fees include drinks and afternoon snacks. Please, bring some cakes to share.
Apply:
With full names and ages of your children, and with fees, no later than 27 November,
a) In person at our Islington sessions, or
b) Sending an email to LMIplusz@gmail.com and bank transfer or check
(bank or check details will be sent upon request).
If you miss the deadline, you can still join us for the celebrations, but we cannot guarantee your Goodie Bag. An advance note would help us prepare with drinks and snacks nevertheless.
Please let us know if you are on special diet so that we can adjust the Goodie Bag and the snacks or drinks to your needs!
Mikulás’s Big Book will also be there for you to write any messages in there, discreetly…
* This year the topic of our Poetry and Drawing Competition is: “The Footprints of Mikulás”.
We would like to take digital photos of all the entries before giving them back to you at the end of the day. We might also like to use the winning drawing(s) as design(s) for our future charity Christmas cards. If you do not want this, please let us know at the time of the entry.
We look forward to seeing you all!
